Toya sat in his cave within the Northern Mountains, a place he’d been calling home for years. Ever since he’d been turned into a dragon, he had longed for human interaction again. Yet, it hadn’t come.

The northern lights put on a light show in the sky, shining with their bright colors. Every time he looked among the stars of the night sky, it reminded him of what could’ve been. He missed his family and friends. He missed his humanity.

He let out a soft growl of discontent, shifting himself into a more comfortable position and closing his eyes. Another day of isolation..
