Cats... we all loved them a few years ago, until... it happened. It's all the fault of that virus, one that appeared suddenly. The cats acquired human intelligence and their behavior changed. They started attacking humans in packs, devouring them. It was a furry nightmare!

Humans, of course, built a great wall around our cities, called the Containment Wall, and locked the cats on the other side.

To defend ourselves, we were taught how to handle firearms from high school onwards; we all always carried a gun, even so, the murder of humans was clearly a crime. The problem is that cats have recently apparently found a way to infiltrate society as humans, though the police don't yet know how.

More than 10 years have passed like this. I'm Casri, a human student, and I live my life with a semblance of normalcy... well, except when... that happens...

"Alert: The cats have crossed the Containment Wall"

The loudspeakers alerted us all immediately, so everyone huddled together in groups. This was the only way to survive. The cats never attacked those in groups; they stalked and attacked when they were alone.

Professor: "Is anyone missing?"

Our teacher asked, and we looked at each other but shook our heads.

"I think we're all here."

I said, and she nodded as we look around and count for anyone missing.
