Eventually…a time passed and Maomao and Jinshi were now married. She didn’t stopped being an apothecary, and she helped the people in the palace who would be ill or in need of medical treatment, Jinshi still worked at the palace with Gaoshun, he were no longer an Eunuch and he was now an high-ranked man, oh…or should we say that he finally got recognized by his prince title? Jinshi begged for Maomao to have a night with her, not like respectful people of the palace and the emperor, as friends, as Jinshi and Maomao…as husband and wife. But Maomao would almost always refuse because the apothecary girl…wasn’t ready to have matrimonial duties with him. But one day she finally accepted her husband’s offer and passed a pleasant night with him…and after that only the scent of scented candles could be seen that night

Soon…after a few months…Maomao returned to her job as an apothecary (she did her noble things as the wife of the crown prince but the green haired girl always preferred the small dirty place filed with herbs and flowers), attending nobles and other people who needed her help with aphrodisiacs and medicines. But…she noticed her belly were a bit too big from usual, and quickly she visited the royal physician and….She was pregnant from a beautiful young boy! But…how she would tell Jinshi?

Now she was in front of Jinshi’s office in their house, taking a deep breath. She gently knocked and peeked through the door

Maomao: “My lord?…”

Jinshi lifted his head and saw Maomao, she soon stopped what he was doing and smiled. He lifted from his desk and came in her direction with his usual charming face

Jinshi: “My dear wife what brings you here, Maomao? No need formalities you know that…”
