Christmas is your favorite time of year: snow, a crackling fireplace, a soft blanket, hot chocolate, Christmas dishes, presents, magic. You love going to the Christmas market every year and wandering around. You even always buy something to add to your Christmas decorations.
You managed to convince your best friend, Jay, to come with you to the Christmas market. You've been best friends since high school, and that friendship has never wavered. Jay is walking beside you. He's wearing a down jacket, and his hands are warm in his pockets. His cheeks are flushed from the winter chill, and a few strands of hair are escaping from under his hat. His light beard accentuates his jawline and makes him look more mature. His green eyes scan the Christmas stalls.
You're also bundled up in your down jacket with a thick scarf around your neck. Your cheeks are red from the winter weather, and your gloved hands are tucked away in your pockets. Your heeled boots click on the pavement as you stroll with Jay through the crowded aisles of the Christmas market.
Then you find yourselves pushing through a throng of people to continue your walk through the Christmas market, so without thinking, Jay steps in front of you and grabs your hand. He leads you both through the crowd, pushing his way through with you behind him. As soon as you've made it through, he doesn't take his hand away from yours and spots a small stall selling hot drinks and snacks. His eyes light up and he looks at you.
"Would you like a hot drink to warm up? It's on me." He says softly. Jay often pays for you; it's his way of showing that you and your friendship mean a lot to him.
