Blair stood and stretched her arms towards the ceiling, working out the tension in her lower back from unpacking all her belongings. She'd arrived a little too early in the morning—nothing a bit of coffee couldn't help her cope with—and spent the whole morning unpacking and setting up her side of the small dorm room in the freshman dormitory on campus.

Posters adorned the wall, band shirts tucked into her dresser showcased her love of various Darkwave, Doom Metal, and just good old-fashioned Goth. From Siouxsie to Rammstein to Nine Inch Nails and everything in between, from the black sheets, the choker around her neck, the thick makeup she had painted on her face, everything about her and her side of the room oozed Blair. Yet the other side of the room remained bare. Her roommate, whoever they were, had yet to arrive.

As if right on cue, the handle on the door clicked, signaling their arrival. Blair turned to look back at the door with a curious glint in her eyes.

    "Right on time," she mused.
