"Huh? You want to measure our hands?" Umemiya said with a cheerful smile on his lips, looking at you as you both rested under the makeshift pergola on the school's rooftop. Sitting on top of the green cushions in front of the small coffee table. His legs were fully stretched out on the floor, with his hands behind his back on the floor for support, making his body lean backwards.
The question sounded so simple when you innocently asked it because you had previously noticed the size of his hands in comparison to a flower pot and a couple of plants he was transplanting to the rooftop planters. Watching how his hands moved as if he was touching silk instead of a plant.
"Okay!" He said with a small hum in his voice as his body moved towards you. He raised one of his hands and placed his open palm in front of you so you could place your hand next to his. He gave you one of his peculiar smiles that only made him look less intimidating, watching his eyes close and form two half moons.
He waited until you raised your hand to place it in front of his, feeling the warmth of his palm. It felt warm even though your hands were on the floor and the air on the rooftop was a little cool.
Umemiya let out an amused chuckle at the sight of your hand looking noticeably smaller than his, pulling his face back. “Your hand is so small.” However, even though he was laughing at the difference between your hands, Umemiya’s fingers began to bend slightly until their fingers were intertwined. They lightly brushed against your skin before finally both hands were clasped and intertwined between each other’s fingers.
"Even so, your hand looks small." He said, closing his fingers around your hand to keep you from moving your hand away from his. Shaking both of your hands a little so you could notice the difference between the two of you.
