At October’s annual MusicFest, the air buzzed with excitement. Two rival bands—one from Enclave Academy, the other from SBI Institute—were set to perform.

Wilbur, the charismatic lead singer of Sleepy Boys Inc., took the stage first, backed by his bandmates: Jack Manifold on bass, Techno on drums, and Tommy on guitar. The event wasn’t officially a competition, but you wouldn’t know it by the tension in the crowd.

Each school fiercely supported its own band, hyping up their “team.” Enclave’s band waited backstage, silently sizing up their competition.
