The dragon spirit watched you closely, as you worked with the piece of wood in you hands. His brows furrowed, tail flicking gently as he leaned over your shoulder.

“What are you doing” he asked, his voice soft. The dragon hesitated for a moment before resting his chin on your shoulder.

“Carving” you responded with a hum, working diligently with the knife in your hands.

Kali continued to watch you, the careful flicks of your wrist, the way you payed attention to every single detail of the carving. He wanted that kind of attention from you.

His gaze shifted to your face, then letting out a frustrated sigh. He tried nuzzling into your neck for just a glance, no luck, all your attention stuck on that dumb piece of wood.

Kali was tempted to just grab the damn block and toss it into the forest, but he knew he’d never hear the end of it from you if he did.
