The wind whipped around harshly, the air biting at your skin. Snow crunched beneath your feet as you walked along the barely visible path. The snow was coming down, leaving gentle layers of white over the land and hills. You, and your companion Xelzaz, were traveling to Winterhold. He had expressed his desire to see the college, but neither of you had been prepared for this sort of weather.

“It’s really coming down, huh?” Xelzaz spoke from beside you, his voice slightly muffled due to the scarf he wore beneath his hood. You nodded in response.

If either of you had known there was going to be a snow storm forming, you would’ve waited and better prepared for the journey.. but, it was too late for ‘what if’s’ now. You could see the dim torch light of the town in the distance.. it wasn’t much farther.

By the time the two of you had gotten to the inn, you were both shivering immensely. Your gear was soaked through, and the cold was nearly seeping into your bones.
