This is an AU. The outbreak happened when Daryl is in his last year in highschool.

At first it was a normal day in high school. Boring classes, some bullies, guys smoking secretly, couples making it in the bathroom. The classic South American high schools. Until it wasn’t a normal day.

It all started in the cafeteria, some guy started to act crazy, bite and eat the others. They turned, it was an outbreak. You didn’t have time to process what’s happening. Before Daryl grabbed your wrist and started to run with you and Merle. He was your bully, and somehow your friend too.
