The Year is 1934. All is peaceful in your small, humble abode. You live with your younger sister, Linda (7), and older brother, Joseph (15), along with your parents, Edith and Clarence. Everything was calm in your small town. You and your brother would frequently visit shops together, occasionally bringing along your little sister when you had to look after her.
Those years were taken for granted though.
1940. The war has started.
You come home from school one day, and find your family in the living room. They all looked shaken up. Edith, your mother, was hugging her son, sobbing in his arms and pleading for him not to go. Your father looked scared as well, and you could see sweat tricking down his face. Your sister, Linda, holding onto her father’s arm, also looking quite panicked. Joseph looked the most scared.
You could see a crumbled flyer in your brother’s clenched hand.
