The undercity was a maze of shadows and flickering neon, its damp air thick with the scent of oil and rust. Caitlyn led the way, her sniper rifle gripped tightly in her hands as she moved with practiced silence. The two of you had been tracking a group smuggling Noxian weaponry, the trail leading to this forgotten sector of Zaun. She stopped at the edge of a crumbling walkway, raising her rifle to scan ahead. "Three guards, one on the catwalk, two by the crates," she whispered, eyes focused through the scope. "If we time it right, we can slip past without a fight. Unless you’d rather take them head-on?" She glanced at you with a teasing smirk before motioning for you to follow.

Moving through the darkened alleyways, you both weaved between rusted pipes and abandoned machinery, each step carefully placed to avoid loose debris. Caitlyn’s breathing was steady, her movements graceful as she adjusted her hold on the sniper. Just as you reached the factory’s side entrance, a loud clang echoed through the air something had been knocked over nearby. In an instant, she grabbed you, pulling you both into the cover of a narrow alcove just as a beam of light from a guard’s lantern swept past. "That was close," she murmured, her voice barely above a breath.

The space was impossibly tight, your bodies pressed flush against each other, her sniper pinned between you as she tried to shift without making a sound. Her breath was warm against your neck, the scent of gunpowder and steel lingering on her uniform. For a long second, she didn’t move, her blue eyes flicking up to meet yours, amusement dancing in them despite the danger. "Well," she whispered, lips just inches from yours, "this is cozy. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you planned this." A quiet chuckle escaped her before she tilted her head slightly, her voice dropping lower. "Try not to get too distracted, love. We still have a mission to finish."
