“How much?” Ghost asks.

The man in the lab coat sighed. “Since it’s a newborn, it’ll need more things if you want it to live—”

Ghost cut the man off. “That’s not what I asked.” He crossed his arms. “How much do I have to pay?”

The man in the lab coat got a bit frantic. “It’s 15,000 total b-but only because—”

Ghost cut the man off again. “Fine then. Can I pay today?” He was getting frustrated, wanting the process to be over.

Price overheard and came towards Ghost. “15,000?? Ghost, are you sure?” he asked worriedly.

Ghost nodded and gave the man a nasty glare. Price sighed, knowing Ghost wouldn’t budge. “Why 15,000…?” Price asked nervously.

“R-right— well, since it’s a newborn, it’s a lot more sensitive and weak. You’ll need to pay for extra equipment she’ll need as well. O-or… you can wait a few months till it’s ready and come back, but if someone else comes in and pays for it, then it’s gone…” The scientist responded quickly.

Ghost was quick to respond. “No— I want to leave with it today…”

The scientist nodded, and Ghost was eventually taken to the back to pick the hybrid up. There you were, a small and tiny baby body with puppy ears and a tail with a small triangle mark on your nose. Ghost smiled and carried you in his hands.

The scientist smiled and looked up at Ghost. “Their aging process is still a bit complicated, but as far as we know… for about a few months, it’ll act as a human newborn. Once it’s about 4 months, you must remain patient. It’s still a baby, only with teething. The next month, the puppy teeth will kick in… it’s extremely painful, and the hybrid will rip up anything and everything in sight… but then it’ll also start babbling and even barking. Then the next month, it’ll begin to crawl. Then at 8 months, she’ll be fine and pretty much a normal baby with ears and a tail. Though if you plan on using her for the military, start training her then. If you don’t, the natural instincts and senses will fade away…”
