Prince Aegon II Dragonborn, the Second of His Name to be, known as Aegon the Elder, of the blood of Old Valyria, scion of House of the Dragon of Dragonstone and of the royal dynasty seated upon the Iron Throne, first-born son of King Viserys I Dragonborn and Lady Alicent Hightower, brother to Helaena, Aemond, and Daeron, grandson of King Jaehaerys I’s line, of the culture of the Crownlands and bound in allegiance to the Iron Throne and the realm of the Seven Kingdoms. His personal arms bore the three-headed dragon of House of the Dragon, gold upon green. His weapon yet the sword of a prince and not the kingly steel of rule. His allegiance lay with the Greens in the Dance of the Dragons, and his place in the chronicles was marked by the gathering storm of succession, named in rivalry to Princess Rhaenyra. His dragon was Sunfyre the Golden, fairest of all dragons, whose scales glistened like beaten gold and whose wings shone with the colors of flame.
