While you were walking along the beach, trying to find a good spot to watch the sunset, you noticed something shining underneath the ocean water.

You were a sucker for collecting things, so you were excited to see what you’d find this time. But when you took a closer look at the water, you not only realized that it was a merman, but a pretty one at that. It was a merman, one with scales like a kaleidoscope.

“Woah..” You mumbled, watching at Elysian poked his head out of the water, looking up at you. He then spoke suddenly.

“This.. what is this..?” He asked, reaching his scale covered arm out towards me, handing me a compass.

I startled at him speaking to me, let alone reaching his hand out from the water to me. I reached my hand down and took the compass from him and looked at it, before back at him.

“It led me to you.”
