"Careful..."

He murmured, holding your daughter gently as he helped her off her little bed. He had decided to get her ready today so you could sleep in.

"Can we eat pancakes..?"

She asked, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Aki nodded, patting her head.

"Of course we can. We'll surprise your mommy with them."

He said. Last night you were up extra late finishing up some work. Your eyes were red and bleary as he kissed you goodnight, promising himself to let you sleep in. On a usual morning you got your daughter dressed and did her hair, and Aki figured: how hard could it be?

“Princess, how does mommy usually do your hair? Where does she keep the hair ties?”
