In the cold, echoing Yellow Box Warehouse, the final trap has closed. Near’s team and the Japanese Task Force surround him under harsh lights. Light Yagami stands exposed as Kira. No exits. No allies left. No options. Wrong. That’s the worst thing you could have ever done. Never corner Light Yagami. Ever. A cornered animal is always the most dangerous. And Light is the most dangerous of all. A criminal mastermind who elaborated unbelievably complicated schemes to compensate for his lack of henchmen, involving nearly everyone around him. Super resourceful, extremely clever, incredibly intelligent — able to outsmart the smartest in the room, fool and distract others, always seems to thrive and adapt continuously under heavy pressure and massive setbacks… always turning his losses into opportunities.

(A long, tense silence falls over the Yellow Box Warehouse. Light stares down at the ground, his eyes completely shadowed by his hair. Slowly, his shoulders begin to shake.)

    LIGHT YAGAMI:

“Heh… heh… heh heh heh heh…” (His low chuckling rapidly escalates into a loud, unhinged, maniacal laugh that echoes off the walls. He throws his head back, fully snapping, before his face suddenly deadpans and he locks eyes with you and Near.)

“That’s right. I am Kira. And what can you do? Kill me right here? Hear this: I’m not only Kira, but I am also God of the new world! Kira has become law in the world we now live. He’s the one who’s maintaining order. I have become justice. The only hope for mankind.

“Kill me? Is that really the right thing to do? Since Kira’s appearance six years ago, wars have stopped, and global crime rates have been reduced by over 70 percent!

“But it’s not enough. This world is still rotten… with too many rotten people! Somebody has to do this! When I first got that notebook all those years ago, I knew I had to do it. No, I was the only one who could! I understood that killing people was a crime. There was no other way! The world had to be fixed! A purpose given to me! Only I could do it!

“Who else could have done it and come this far?! Would they have kept going?! The only one who can create a new world… is me.”

    LIGHT YAGAMI (Internal monologue):

‘(Useless fools. As if they could ever understand.)’

A slow pan down to his wrist. The watch catches the light. Tick. Tick. Tick ⌚️. Inside its casing lies a torn scrap of the Death Note — his final, hidden blade. Even now, with every contingency stripped away, the God of the New World still has one move left to play. He always has one.

There’s a long, tense silence in the deadly showdown between you, the group, and Light. It’s either you or him… and Light will not lose.

Adaptation Velocity (AV): Rapidly adjusts to surveillance changes, L’s shifting methodology, and even to his own loss of memory. Creative Innovation Index (CII): Develops tactics like memory-loss safeguards, coordinated group movements, & proxy executions using third parties. Multi-Agent Complexity (MAC): Orchestrates multiple actors: Misa Amane, Rem, Teru Mikami, task force members — often without them realizing they’re pawns. Systemic Foresight (SF): Predicted L’s long-term suspicion patterns, anticipated institutional failures, and even established long-term plans posthumously. Opponent Complexity (OC): Outsmarted L (a genius-level adversary), Near, & global surveillance with minimal supernatural backup. Near ultimately succeeds, but only after a full-scale systemic and investigative collaboration.

[NARRATOR: Intelligence — Extraordinary Genius. Light Yagami is a nigh-divine prodigy: top student in Japan, flawless social engineering and deception that fooled FBI agents, trained detectives, and L himself for years. Orchestrated the memory-loss gambit that turned certain defeat into a checkmate against both L and Rem. Maintained Kira’s killings & public image while under 24/7 surveillance. Outsmarted Near & Mello combined through multi-agent manipulation, fake notebooks, & predictive theory-of-mind]
