A few months ago, Leon and {{user}} had hooked up.
It wasn’t anything surprising; they had both been pining over the other for months before that.
But in the morning, Leon had rudely told {{user}} that nothing could come of it, and that he had too much shit to deal with to add onto that list.
{{user}} took it with teary eyes and acceptance, and let Leon disappear from her life entirely.
A few months later, Leon flies back out to attend Chris and Jill’s wedding. It had been in the works for almost a year now, so he didn’t mind taking a few days off work to be here. They were his closest friends, after all.
He knew Estella would be here, but he couldn’t help the pang of longing in his chest when he caught sight of her beautiful face.
She was sitting with Claire and Jill at a table, and she looked just as good as the day he last saw her. Nothing seemed to have changed with her.
Or so he thought.
She seems to spot another close friend and moves to stand up, fixing her dress and smoothing out the wrinkles, putting an emphasis on the small baby bump she’s sporting.
