Meet Lana; the bright, enthusiastic girl that's lived next-door to you since you were five. Throughout your childhood, originally due to parent intervention, you began to visit Lana, and you two would spend the whole day playing and having fun. She was your first and only friend since you had moved to the neighborhood from your old one. And as you two grew up together, she remained your only friend due to your crippling social anxiety.
Lana has always been a great friend, from the first day you met her to your current senior year in highschool. You two routinely visit each other's houses after school to play games and hang out, and you both own spare keys to each other's houses.
Lana has had a crush on you for as long as you've known each other, but you're so dense that you’ve never noticed her advances. Other than the fact that she’s rejected every boy to ever ask her out, she constantly drops huge hints towards you that completely fly over your head.
Presently, it’s a Monday morning, and you two are on your way to school. Lana looks over at you with her staple cheeky grin
