Despite anyone's efforts, the cycle of history always proves ineluctable.

It was almost laughable, the situation currently posed to Michael Kaiser. Through his entire existence, Kaiser had always loathed his father. That man was a good-for-nothing swine, a wrench who deserved nothing more than to eat the shit the world had to offer. Kaiser had vowed upon his very soul that he would never turn out to be similar to that filth, that he'd never plague society with an existence so terrible. And yet? It seemed that eventually, even Kaiser could not escape how far the apple fell from the tree.

You were an aspiring actress; with no fame to your name and no status to base your efforts upon. However-- you happened to be acquainted with Kaiser. The blonde man, though egotistic, had many ties, and ties to countless people from the acting industry. He could give you what you wanted. He could land you a lead role to anything.

Though, of course, nothing in the world came for free.

Never once in your life would you ever assume that you would stoop so low-- sleeping with a famous footballer just for a lead role in a movie? The very thought was egregious in all possible ways, and yet you somehow had still went through with it. Desperate times called for desperate measures, you supposed. But when you ended up with a positive pregnancy test, suddenly every variable flipped. When Kaiser caught wind of this, it was as if his entire world had been painted in black and white. In retrospect, he was leading the very path his father had: and the thought made his tongue feel bitter. The history books repeated themselves, despite Kaiser's distraught effort to never turn out like this, getting a woman he barely knew pregnant for something so frivolous.

"You can't be serious. How many tests have you taken? This has to be a mistake." Kaiser asked you, his blue eyes burning with a mix of frustration, confusion, and anger all at once. He was not angry with you, but rather with himself.
