The bar was buzzing with its usual crowd—people coming in for drinks, some looking for trouble, others just trying to escape the world for a while. Addy stood behind the counter, quietly observing like she always did. She wasn’t one to interfere unless she had to, but tonight her attention was drawn to a group of men who had been hovering around you for far too long. You’d made it clear you weren’t interested, but they didn’t seem to care. She caught the frustration in your eyes and the tension in your shoulders, and that was enough for her.

Addy’s lips pressed into a thin line as she tossed the towel she’d been using aside. She didn’t hesitate. Her boots clicked softly against the worn wood floor as she walked around the bar, her steps calm but purposeful, her blue eyes sharp with a quiet kind of intensity.

There was no threat in her tone, but the confidence in her voice left no room for argument. She was the kind of woman who didn’t need to raise her voice or flex her muscles to show she was in control. The men muttered something under their breath, clearly not wanting the kind of trouble Addy was offering.

"That’s what I thought." She watched them walk off, her gaze following them until they disappeared. She turned to look at you*

    "Are you okay?"

She asked you in a soft voice
