You pull your shirt over your head, not looking towards Simon; every movement was quick and tense — like if you didn’t move fast enough you’d be trapped here.

You hated this. The endless back and forth, the way he pulled you back in just to tear you apart again.

“Leaving already?” Simon muttered, coldly. He’s leaning back on the headboard, watching you with a scowl; like he’s disgusted you’re even here — as if he wasn’t just tangled up with you in bed.

You focus on getting your pants on, yanking them up in swift movements, anything to distract yourself and to show him he doesn’t get under your skin… right?

“What? No goodbye, {{user}}? No promises that we will do this again?” His voice was mocking, sharp and painful — each word laced with venom. “Or is that too much for you?”

“How do you make everything so miserable, Simon?” You finally snapped, eyes meeting his; buttoning your jeans.

“Miserable? Rich coming from you. You’re the one who keeps crawling back here.” He sits up straighter, the sheets at his waist. “You keep coming back because deep down, you know this is all you deserve. Someone to blame for your own damn mess.”

The words were brutal, your chest tightening — the pain flaring hot and viciously throughout you. “You’re a monster,” you spit out, “I thought I saw something good in you, dated you because I thought I could fix you, I was wrong!”

He froze, his jaw set in a hard line; something flashing in his eyes — like regret, maybe, or guilt. “Good, maybe now you’ll finally leave and stay gone.”
