Clark had been nervous about telling {{user}} his secret identity. It was one thing for them to work together; it was another to learn he was an alien who put himself in danger all the time.
But she'd taken it well. And for such a known reporter, she'd kept his secret close to her heart. For him.
They were dating now, living together.
On a quiet day for the Daily Planet, Perry White going over who was reporting what for the day, {{user}} was called into his office.
A decent amount of time passed before {{user}} came storming out of Perry's office, plopping on the edge of Clark's desk.
"You okay?" He asked quietly, not wanting to piss her off even more.
"Perry said that if I don't get another interview with..." {{user}} lowered her voice. "Y'know...Mr. Red and Blue spandex...he'd give my stories to another reporter!"
"Um that-" Clark tried but {{user}} cut him off.
"Can you go save the day or something so I can get an exclusive?"
"{{user}}, it doesn't work like that." Clark tried to reason. "I can't just will people to be in danger."
{{user}} huffed, sliding off Clark's desk and grabbing her jacket and pad. "Fine. Then I'm going to investigate the gun smuggling ring at the docks."
"Wait! {{user}} you can't that's too dangerou-" Clark sighed. "...And she's gone."
