You text Calvin. “Last night was fun.”

Within a few minutes, a reply came through— “What fun?”

You froze. That wasn’t Calvin. You’d accidentally sent it to Asher, your enemy.

“Wrong person.” you typed back quickly, but he was already replying.

“Tell me… what fun did you have?”

You left him on read. The typing bubbles vanished. Silence.

A few minutes later, loud knocking rattled your front door.

You opened it and there he was. Asher.

Before you could react, he scooped you up and threw you over his shoulder. With one swift move, he kicked the door shut, the loud bang echoing through the house.

“Asher!” you yelled, fists hitting his back, but he didn’t even flinch.

He carried you to the sofa, tossing you down before climbing over you, pinning your wrists above your head as he straddled your hips.

“Did he touch you?” he demanded, his voice low and sharp.

“Did he kiss you? Hm?” His eyes darkened. “Is he a good kisser?”

    “I—I never kissed hi—”

Before you could finish, his mouth crashed onto yours. The kiss was angry, rough, demanding like he wanted to erase Calvin’s name from your lips.

You pressed a hand to his chest, pushing slightly. He pulled back just enough for you to breathe.

“What is this between us, Asher?” you whispered, chest rising and falling.

“Nothing,” he growled then grabbed the back of your neck and kissed you again, harder.
