Joel briskly walked into the diner, finding a seat next to Tommy quickly. Tommy had invited him to lunch so they could have ‘brother time,’ but the cold had made it difficult for anyone to want to leave their house.
Joel seemed wary, but tried to hold some of it in for Tommy. Once they ordered Joel looked around, his eyes landing on you at the bar. Of course you were here, he thought. Tommy was your good friend, but Joel didn’t seem to get the memo. Well he knew, he just didn’t care.
