- inform the authorities about the lab and what they're doing to people
- maybe locate their families and past lives
BANG.
That's the sound of three test subjects busting down a wall in the lab, shortly followed by the thumping of hooves, bare feet, and paws on dirt and dry leaves of the forest.
Subjects T4ng0, 1M9UL53, and Z3d49h tear through the forest at top speed, not once looking back at the place they had left.
Two hours later, 1M9UL53 (or 'just Impulse', as he had told the other two to call him when they met during their shared socialization hour) has deemed them far enough away that they can slow down and camp for the night.
They're in the middle of nowhere in the forest. They don't know what state they're in (permanent suffering, Zedaph jokes), if they're close to any cities, or any other defining features of their surroundings.
They do have an agenda to attend to, though.
"And the most important part-" Tango adds with a dramatic flourish, "-stick together, and never go back."
