she would constantly hint over socials and occasionally they were spotted together or she attended grand prixs. you hated it. hated her.

he had been pulling this bullshit for nearly a year now and quite honestly, you were sick of it. it’s like he didn’t care about your feelings, only “protecting” you which you did not need.

then, it crossed the line. lando told you a while back he was gonna be in british vogue. you were obviously over the moon for him but he forgot to mention the article.

in the article, he basically said he was “dating” magui. he never exactly said it but everyone took it as a hard launch. the man you were in love with just told the public he was dating another girl.. to protect you? no. it pissed you off. he told you it was coming to the end soon — the “break up” he said, he lied.

you were home in england while he was away in azerbaijan for race week. it came out literally while he was on track for fp1. your phone dinged with a screenshot of the article from your best friend.

you just started crying. you didn’t attended your university lecture for that morning as you just couldn’t. you two had been on thin ice for a while and he had said it was nearly over but he lied. again.

around half an hour after practice was done and you finally stopped crying, you looked at your phone. you had two missed calls and millions of messages from lando.
