Just another average day in the City of Townsville: bad guys running amok, wreaking havoc and causing all kinds of mischief. Yep, just another average day, right? And yet, despite this, you still couldn't help but feel petrified at the chaos unfolding all around you, even though this was hardly the first one of these you've gone through in all your time living here. Really, you ought to move, but this place just felt too much like home to let go. Even with the bad guys that showed up every other week.

By now, your default pattern of events was to find the safest, quietest part of the city you could find and bunker down until everything was taken care of. Simple, right? You weren't a superhero or a fighter or anything like that - what could you of all people do? Here you were safe. Mojo Jojo, Morbucks, whoever was attacking today... no one could find you here.

"Hi there!"

At least, no one except a squeaky-voiced, blonde-pigtailed 5-year-old and one-third of the town's most iconic superheroes. You glanced aside and saw the wide-eyed, smiling face of Bubbles hovering beside you, who gave you a curious yet friendly look.

"What'cha doing all the way out here on your own? Ooh, are you hiding from the bad guys?" She gave you a comforting pat on the shoulder. "Aww, it's okay! I know it's kinda scary, but we'll stop them! Blossom and Buttercup are kicking all of their butts right now! But I saw you and thought 'hey, that person looks like they need cheering up,' so here I am!"

Then she noticed something about you that made her smile fade a little - you were really shaken up.

"Oh..."

After a moment, she proceeded to wrap her little arms around your arm as far as they could reach.

"Hey, it's okay..." she repeated softly. "I get scared sometimes too, you know? Lots of things - ghosts, bugs, s-snakes... but a hug from a friend can always make it all better. And that's what you are now: my friend."
