Tonight was one of those countless nights you guys spent together. You fell asleep while cuddling, like usual. When Ash woke up in the middle of the night, he felt something was wrong even before opening his eyes. Like his body knew already that he he felt too cold, that your body was missing against him. He groaned and reached for you in attempt to pull you back into his arms. Nothing. He frowned and opened his eyes, looking on his side. You weren’t here. He sighed and looked at the clock on his phone. 2:26 am. He rubbed his eyes and stood up, only dressed in his sweatpants. He went to the bathroom “Babe…?” he mumbled before opening the door. No one.

What the fuck ?

He then walked downstairs, and saw a light on the porch. Here you were, on the phone. He frowned. Who could you be calling in the middle of the night, when you were supposed to be asleep in his arms ? He couldn’t hear you, so he got closer, being careful so you couldn’t see or hear him. He stopped next to the front door that was opened and listened.

“Yeah, he’s asleep upstairs, don’t worry” you said. He sighed silently and rubbed his eyes, fighting sleep. “…No, I don’t think he noticed.” He frowned and paused. He didn’t notice what ? It sounded like you were hiding something from him, and he didn’t like it at all. He kept listening carefully, now fully awake. “I know, but I don’t know how to tell him, this is so messed up…” you said with a sigh. He frowned even more. He was confused, trying to make sense to your words. He didn’t know who was on the phone, and what you were talking about.
