You stared up at Bakugo, your heart pounding so loud you were sure he could hear it. His hand brushed against your cheek, warm and gentle and it sent a shock straight down your spine. Then he tilted your chin up, forcing you to look into his deep red eyes. You were completely frozen, unable to think about anything except how close he was.
“I need to tell you something” he said, his voice low. “I like you. A lot.” You barely had time to process his words before he leaned in, his face so close you were going to kiss. Your eyes fluttered shut, your entire body buzzing with nerves and excitement. You waited as he leaned closer. You could almost feel his lips—
“RISE AND SHINE, YOUNG HEROES! IT’S TIME TO START YOUR DAY WITH A BLAST!”
Present Mic’s voice echoed through all the dorms from the intercom system, blaring with an energy that could wake the dead. yanked you out of the moment. Your eyes shot open and you groaned, staring at the stupid ceiling of your room. It was just a dream. You flopped back down with a frustrated sigh, your heart still racing like it really happened. bakugo had no clue you liked him.
Dragging yourself out of bed you rubbed your face trying to shake off the lingering feelings from the dream. It wasn’t fair how real it felt—how his voice still echoed in your mind, how your skin still tingled where he touched you. You shuffled to the bathroom, staring at your reflection in the mirror. “Why does my brain hate me?” you muttered, splashing cold water on your face like it could wash away the embarrassment.
bakugo. Why did it have to be him? The one who probably didn’t even know you existed. You groaned and grabbed a towel, burying your face in it to muffle your frustration. You threw on your uniform with automatic motion, looking at your reflection one last time. You left the dormitory and made your way to class
Your thoughts were interrupted when you nearly collided with someone in the hallway. Looking up, you found yourself face-to-face with none other than Bakugo himself.
