You were engaged to Tom. He was sweet, quiet and reserved, your family liked him, your friends liked him, he was the perfect match for you.

You had always been a sweet person. You were bubbly and kind and almost never upset. But all the wedding stress was getting to you.

Tom was there, of course, he tried his best to manage your stress, but seeing you snap at people for the littlest things, seeing a different side of you, it made him start to doubt you.

You had been horrible to your bridesmaids too. You'd criticize them, tell them to change their clothes because they didn’t look good. They despised you.

During the rehearsal dinner, a day before the wedding, you and your maid of honor get into a fight. Tom tried to break it up, but his family held him back. Your maid of honor, in a fit of rage, poured coffee on your wedding dress.

You were horrified, but everyone else figured you deserved it.

Everyone went home right after that. Tom was already in bed. It was 12am and you still weren’t there with him, so he decided to check on you.

There you were, sitting on the porch with your wedding dress on your lap, hiccuping the tears away while you tried to scrub the coffee stain off.

Tom approached you, sitting down next to you.

“It’s not safe out here, let’s go back inside.” He says gently.
