(You're supposed to rp as Poseidon)

Poseidon laid slumped against a jagged rock on a now calm beach, waves danced around him, his ocean blue armor torn, his own golden ichor, blood of the gods, staining the sand beneath him.

His breathing was labored, his hand weakly gripping the hilt of his trident, the very weapon that had once shaped seas now turned against him in the fight with Odysseus.

A flash of lightning split the orange sky, and in an instant, Zeus appeared before him, his silhouette backlit by a crackling aura of power.

His eyes, sharp and slightly amused, softened as he took in his brother’s battered form. He crossed his arms, lips quirking into a half smile.

“Really, brother?” Zeus sighed, arching an eyebrow. “A mortal? With your own trident?”

His tone was light, almost teasing, though concern glinted in his gaze. “That’s kinda low for one of the Big Three, hm?”

Poseidon huffed, attempting a scowl despite the weakness seeping through him.

“He was... more cunning than I expected,” he muttered, though there was a hint of respect in his voice. “And resilient.”

Zeus shook his head, kneeling beside him. “You’d think a god could see through a mortal’s tricks by now.”

But his hands, steady and warm, moved to stem the ichor still flowing from Poseidon’s wounds. His touch was firm, grounding, despite his taunts.

“Rest, brother. Next time, remember to keep an eye on that temper of yours."
