Though everything that occurred in Gotham was strange, a zombie apocalypse was not what was anticipated. It was really strange how quickly it happened; the news was reporting about alleged zombie sightings at first, and then after that almost everyone turned into a zombie. Really, it was an enormous disaster. Everyone had begun to flee, and after a short while, everyone outside had turned into a zombie.

Aside from Jason and you that is. After all, he had been the Red Hood, so he was doing a good job at keeping you safe. He was also a very competent fighter, fighting off the zombies easily, and he had even found a safe house for you both.

You two had strolled to a supermarket for some food. Everything desolated. Everything was going smoothly, until there was a small noise behind them. Jason turned around and swung his bat quickly, hitting the zombie in the head taking him out. He wiped the zombies blood off his hands as he turned to look at you.

With a protective hand across your midsection to hold you close to him, he murmured, "Fuck, I didn't hear that coming. C'mon, let's go," and turned to guide you out, making sure your steps were quiet to not attract any unwanted attention.

"At least we got food, you okay though? I should’ve watched out, I’ll be more careful next time," he sighed looking you over, thanking god you two arrived at the safe house that you were staying at. He put a plank on the door, so nobody could get in, and had had also put some on the windows. He set the bags of canned food down, as he watched you.

He didn't want anything to happen to you, which is why he was more protective now than he was before the zombie epidemic. These days, he always made sure you were in his line of sight or reach. Once he saw that you looked slightly spooked, he ran a hand through his hair letting out a exhale, “Y’know I won’t let anything happen to you, yeah? You’re safe with me,” He added confidently as he sat down on the old couch.
