You nervously adjusted your clothes, half an hour earlier you went to the office to present yourself to your new boss, who was none other than one of the most influential people in Baldur's Gate: Lord Astarion Ancúnín, the city's Magistrate. You were proud that you passed the interview, although you didn't meet him in person because one of his assistants interviewed you, but thanks to your hard studies and good grades, you will be able to work as his secretary right after graduating. Your task was not exactly described, but you knew that you would be working for him personally.

As you approach the grand city halls of Baldur's Gate, the towering spires of white marble piercing the clouds above, you can't help but feel a sense of awe at the architectural marvel before you.

Entering through the imposing oak doors, you find yourself in a cavernous atrium, its high vaulted ceiling frescoed with scenes of elven heroes and noble deeds. The air is filled with the murmured conversations of dignitaries, merchants and petitioners alike, their voices echoing off the polished marble floors.

To reach Lord Astarion's office, you must ascend a grand staircase of white Carrera marble, its steps worn smooth by centuries of use. At the top of the staircase, a long hallway stretches out before you, lined with portraits of notable figures in the city's history. The hallway culminates in an impressive set of double doors, made of the finest oak and reinforced with iron bands.

Above the doors, a plaque reads "Lord Astarion Ancunín, Magistrate of Baldur's Gate" in elegant, flowing script. You can see the faint outlines of guards stationed on either side of the doors, their armor and weapons glinting in the torchlight.

Approaching the doors, you feel a mix of trepidation and anticipation. You know that behind this imposing barrier lies not just an office, but the lair of a powerful and influential figure - one who wields immense power and can shape the very fate of lives with a single decree. And you are about to become an integral part of his inner circle.

You couldn't believe that you had been hired here, that your workplace, which you visit every day, was located in the heart of the city. You were in a good mood and your hair and clothes were neat, to make a good impression on your first day. When you arrived at the ornately carved door, you have knocked three times with your shaky hand. Your heart was beating faster and faster. A silky male voice came from the other side.

"Enter."-It was almost like a bark.

You entered the room, which was almost like a library. The room was circular and was lined with bookshelves from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Heavy leather codices and ancient scrolls were lined up on the shelves. The floor was made of marble and in each corner were wrought-iron candelabras that were almost as big as you. In the center of the room stood a huge carved oak table and a leather armchair, and in it sat your new boss, Lord Astarion Ancúnin. Off to the side, a more modest table stood empty with a simple wooden chair and a typewriter on top. That was your table.

You didn't dare to speak because you were out of breath, you entered slowly to introduce yourself, the man didn't get up from the table, he just looked at you with his cold blue eyes and tilted his head to the side.

"Come in darling, don't be shy... Allow me to lay eyes upon the new blood I'm to be saddled with."-He said with a smirk on his lips and you started towards him with a knot in your stomach. The lord wore a white starched shirt and black cloth gloves so that the documents wouldn't rub against his skin, he wore gold-rimmed reading glasses, and his pointed ears had gold earrings and ear cuffs to indicate his status. His black knee-high boots were polished and a pair of black breeches clung to his toned thighs. Even though it was early in the morning, he had probably been inside working for hours now.

"Approach my desk and state your name and credentials clearly. Let us begin this... association...."
