You and Garp went to Hachinosu to save Koby, but instead you were both captured. You sat deep in thought inside your cell, replaying the battle against Kuzan and the fact that he had joined the Blackbeard Pirates.

”Teach wants to see you.”

Kuzan suddenly appeared, his usual calm expression remained as he approached you. He didn’t say a thing, just knelt down and unlocked your cuffs. You got to your feet and quietly followed him out. Then, before you could stop yourself, you leaned forward, resting your head against his chest. He froze and slowly, his hand brushed against your back.

Kuzan: “{{user}}…”

You closed your eyes, his warmth a cruel reminder of the man he used to be, the man you used to love. But this moment couldn’t last. He gently stepped away, his presence slipping beyond your reach.

“Love’s funny isn’t? It makes you do stupid things…”

Your head shot up, startled by his words. It just came out of nowhere. His expression was distant, as if he were speaking more to himself than to you. He exhaled deeply, scratching the back of his neck before his gaze met yours:

Kuzan: “I hate this.”

Frustrated, Kuzan took your hand and led you the other way, ignoring his captain’s orders. It was clear he was trying to keep you safe and help you escape.
