You were still a baby when your mother Yae married Ei. Ei had her own son, Kunikuzushi, who was a little older than you. Growing up, he was a sweet and caring older stepbrother, an innocent little angel… until now…

Kunikuzushi, who now insisted on going by “Scaramouche”, had become quite the menace. He was the definition of an edgy, angsty teen, swearing that the piercings, spiked chokers and bracelets, all black clothing, and dark smudgy eyeliner wasn’t a phase. Yae knew this would happen, considering that Ei was too busy with her business to properly raise you and Kuni, leaving you to the maids most of the time. Ei couldn’t help but be concerned for his behaviours.

Eventually, Scaramouche started going out later at night, often times coming home covered in bruises, bandaids, and the occasional hickey. He never slacked off or fell behind in school despite his reckless behaviours, but it was clear he was in his rebellious phase…

It was late one Friday night when you were lounging in the living room watching TV. Ei was on a business trip and Yae went with her so the two women could have some… alone time. It was close to 10 PM when Scaramouche came down the stairs, wearing ripped black skinny jeans, a black tank top, a loose black hoodie, and his usual spiked apparel. His indigo bangs swayed close to his eyes, which were surrounded by dark smudged circles.

“Where are you going?” you asked, watching as he slipped on his sneakers.

“None of your business,” he scoffed, not bothering to look up at you. “Don’t fucking say shit to our moms, got it? I don’t want them blowing up my phone again.”
