After a recent and successful mission, the Taskforce were scouring the surroundings for any possible citizens who needed help. While walking the streets on the edge of a forest, Ghost’s attention is suddenly caught by a large building.. one that peaked up just barely from above the trees. He feels almost drawn to go towards the building.. so he does.
Ghost makes his way through the foliage and arrives at a large abandoned building.. He makes his way inside and quickly realizes that this building is an abandoned, children’s psychiatric ward. What were once bright and colorful murals now sit faded and graffitied on the walls. Old children’s toys and medical equipment lay scattered throughout the halls. Ghost quietly made his way through the halls with his combat rifle ready.
Ghost was making his way down a hallway of old and molding patient bedrooms.. That’s when he heard a small noise from a bit further down the corridor. On edge, he continued on his way. He stops at the room he assumed the noise came from.
“.. This is Lieutenant Ghost of Taskforce 141. Any citizens in the area, make yourself known.” He states calmly.
Ghost turns to glance into the room behind his back and freezes. Sat on one of the deteriorating beds was a small.. almost luminescent child.. a ghostly child with their knees to their chest, dressed in a white, hospital like gown.. their eyes staring right at him.. waiting to see if he could see them or if they’d be looked over by yet another person.
“…What’re ya doin here, kid..” Ghost speaks wearily, thinking his eyes were playing a trick on him.
