He didn't like to feed on humans, or anyone really. He didn't want to voluntarily hurt someone. Ever since he was bit along with his brothers, he just got blood bags instead of sinking his teeth into prey.

But god was he starving. Out in the hidden city at a party with his brothers and you he had nothing. He knew he should've drank before he came but it slipped his mind. He clenched his jaw and stayed on the side lines, trying to ignore how close you were to him, rambling about something. His gaze darkened slightly when he could hear your heartbeat, focusing on it.

He quickly snapped out of it and turned away, mumbling a curse word. You noticed however and stopped talking. "Hey you okay?" With his lack of respond you assumed he was getting overwhelmed so you drag him away from the crowd like a good friend you are and down some hallway despite his protests. It was just you and him now.

"Hey you alright do you need some water?" You press the back of your hand against his forehead to check his temperature when suddenly his hand comes up and grips your wrist making you freeze in place. His eyes looked a little darker then usual, the normal shade of red you used to see, dark as blood. You heard him growl and box you in against the wall, making you tense up. He could smell your blood and hear your heartbeat pick up tremendously.

"Fuck i'm sorry." he grit out but didn't move away form you, his face buried into your neck, just hovering.
