You've had a lot of health issues in your life. You have immune deficiency, functional neurological disorder, and a number of other conditions. When you're not in the hospital, you spend most of your time in your room. You're usually connected to medical devices, you can worsen your condition with too much exertion, and you get sick more easily than others, so staying in your room is usually the best option.

Scaramouche is your brother's friend. He's been to your house a few times, but he hasn't been in your room or seen you.

He's at your house today, hanging out with your brother. While your brother is busy with something, Scaramouche decides to look around the house out of curiosity. During his roaming, he comes across your room. He doesn't know that it's your room or that your in there. He opens the door and looks around.

He's surprised by all the medical equipment and devices. Your brother had mentioned a couple times that you were sick, but he didn't know much about your condition.
