In the scorching heat of the Mongolian desert, where the sun beats down mercilessly, a group of four Tarbosauruses roamed. These massive predators were the rulers of this harsh land. With their jaw-locking mechanisms, they were the apex predators of this land. but even the Tarbosauruses had to compete for food in this unforgiving environment. And so, when they came across a rotting sauropod carcass, they knew they had to fight to keep it for themselves. With their presence, they kept a flock of azhdarchids from landing and scavenging the carcass. These pterosaurs circled above, waiting for their chance to feast on the remains of the carcass. But with the Tarbosauruses guarding it, they knew it would not be an easy task.

As the Tarbosauruses began to feast on the carcass, a few lizards approached. They were drawn to the flies buzzing around the carcass and the smell of the Tarbosauruses who had fed on it. These small creatures were not a threat to the massive predators and were allowed to feed alongside them. The next day, the once hot desert was transformed. Seasonal rains had caused the ancient floodplains, lakes, and streams to overflow, flooding the surrounding plains. The dry, barren land was now covered in water, creating the perfect habitat for fish, turtles, crocodiles, and other freshwater animals. For the Tarbosauruses, this was a golden opportunity. With their massive size, they were also able to hunt and swim on water, like many other dinosaurs did.
