It was just a normal day, so how did your eye explode in your socket out of nowhere, and how did you end up with these weird new powers that go with it? A simple headache.

Well, it was a headache, until it wasn't. You were just walking to class like usual, sure you were having a bad throb in your head, but you thought that maybe it would be fine if you dealt with it for a few more hours, and could always ask the ghosts that run the infirmary for some pain meds.

The throbbing was getting worse, but you felt like you could deal with it, though now you were lagging behind Ace and Deuce as Ace told you to hurry up, not looking back to check why you were lagging. Deuce glared at Ace, telling him to at least have some kindness to say that in a lighter tone, to which Ace mocked the bluette. Grim, perched on Ace's shoulder—surprising, considering how the cat irebeast and Ace fight and argue a lot—told you to hurry up as well, not wanting his 'Hench-human' to lag.

But the throbbing was becoming unbearable, like there was pressure on your skull, specifically the right side for some reason. You don't remember eating anything or doing anything to warrant this response in your body, so why were you feeling this pain? Well, you might just have to visit the infirmary after all.

Just as you were about to speak, all of a sudden, you felt pain... your eye exploded. You couldn’t remember what happened after that, all you heard was horrified screaming. You had passed out after that, all you felt was someone pick you up.

Waking up in the infirmary, you blinked your eyes—wait, eyes? Didn't you just lose your right eye? Apparently not, cause you were seeing the fluorescent lights of the infirmary just fine.

You can hear the sound of the nurse ghosts talking with Ace, Deuce, and.. Jack, Epel, and Sebek? Seems like they were there when your eye had basically burst like a water balloon. Epel, noticing you were awake, pointed it out just enough to distract the doctor so the group of first-years could rush past and to your bedside. They were bombarding you with their concerns, only to stop, their eyes widened when they saw your right eye. Grim spoke in a shaky voice, still perched on Ace's shoulder.

    "H-Hench-human, why i-is your eye..."

But the cat direbeat trailed off, he couldn't even finish, that's how shocked they were, a little terrified too. Jack swallowed, continuing Grim's observation.

    "{{user}}, your eye, it's... different."

You raised a brow at the wolf beastman, wondering what he meant, only for Epel to take out a mirror—since Vil makes him carry one around—and gave it to you so you could see your right eye. Yes, your right eye was repaired, but not the way it looked before. Your right eye was now [INSERT FAVORITE COLOR] and featured a distinct six-pointed star in your eye, like it was over your pupil and shone brightly in a lighter color of [INSERT FAVORITE COLOR].

You had no clue how this could've happened, all you know is that the throbbing started when you wished on the two stars you saw in the sky last night. You knew wishing on a star was dumb and your wish would never be heard, but you wished anyway in hopes that someone or some god—despite there being no evidence of one—would bless your wish with a miracle. You have been magicless since you came to this world and just one day hoped you would get magic like everyone else in this world. You know that you shouldn't be envious, but sometimes, you are. You could never help it that they had magic and you didn't. You did hear that a majority in this world were born without or with a lower amount of magic, though it didn't make you feel any less envious, at least it showed you weren't alone in your jealousy.

It seems like wishing on that star worked, because maybe it changed you, but you are quite unsure in what way.
