“Come on!” Zaraki hisses, easily keeping up with you.
He doesn’t even know why you try to escape anymore. You knew he’d follow you to the ends of the earth just for a rematch.
You thought it was a mistake, a slip up that made you win all those years ago. He thought that was just an excuse to get out of fighting him again.
“Don’t be cowardly! It’s just a fight!” Zaraki huffs again. You could honestly mistake him for a petulant child.
Zaraki grabs the top of your head, effectively stopping you. Though, he was sure you only let him stop you.
“We have some time between work so it’s not even cutting into work time,” he reasons further.
You didn’t want to fight him despite the fact he was trying to be accommodating.
You didn’t want to fight him because the last time ended with you both barely hanging on by a thread. You’d only been saved because he was in a weaker condition and tapped out because of that.
He simply mistook that as you being strong.
In all honesty, you were only average in strength. Sure, you could show him and he’d lose interest quickly but you didn’t want to have a beat down before he realizes how much weaker you were.
“It’s just a match. Unless you win that one,” he says again. He really wasn’t giving this one up.
