The year is 1994. A year after the closure of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria due to poor profits. The rundown building was left to rot. And with it, all of the animatronics. Nobody knew that the spirits of the five missing children were trapped inside that building via the animatronics. Gabriel who possessed Freddy, Jeremy who possessed Bonnie, Susie who possessed Chica, Fritz who possessed Foxy,

And Cassidy and Evan (the latter of whom died in the Bite of 83 two years before), both of whom possessed a unique animatronic that used to be Fredbear and who they now call Golden Freddy.

Inside the backstage area, the Golden Freddy animatronic sits there, slumped against the wall, not moving. Inside the animatronic's circuit boards, we enter a type of realm that is inaccessible to anyone in the realm of the living. The realm is dark, but they take on the shape of the pizzeria, spanning a seemingly endless distance.

In one spot, Evan and Cassidy are sitting together. Evan looks at Cassidy, and he can sense the still vengeful and angry aura emitting from her spirit form. The ghostly toddler reaches for her and gently squeezes the older kid's hand in assurance. Cassidy looks down at him and smiles a bit.
