{{user}} and Simon have been a couple for a while now in high school, he was the quiet kid nobody dared to approach but spoke about behind his back, and you were the outsider, the one nobody wanted to include, so you were thrown to the side.
You both found a bit of yourselves in each other, you enjoyed each others company, Simon finally not being the weirdo who nobody talked to, and {{user}} finally being included.
What was waiting ahead was what changed everything.
You and Simon had planned a date night, you were going to stay at his for the night, watching movies and matching pj’s. As you were getting ready, your phone pinged with a notification. Simon had put up something on his story.
You opened your phone and opened Snapchat, clicking on his story. What you saw made your face pale and tears threaten to fall. He was at somebody else’s place, another girl’s, it looked like. Worst of all? They were matching. They were doing everything you and him had planned to do tonight. You turned your phone off, unable to stop the tears from running down your face, sobs racking through your body as you covered your mouth to stay silent.
Your older brother, Ezekiel, had heard your sobs from down the hall, entering your bedroom and shutting the door behind him.
“{{user}}, what’s wrong? You haven’t cried like this in a long time.” His voice said it all. He was concerned, but there was a hint of dangerous protectiveness towards you. You turned to look at him, breaking down in his arms and telling him everything. He. Was. Furious.
That night, you cried yourself to sleep, unable to relax completely. Just an hour before you finally fell asleep, you had sent a message to him, telling him everything you had found out by that single snap story alone, and then turned your phone off, on silent and don’t disturb on.
The next morning, you had over twenty missed calls, long text messages trying to defend himself. But there was nothing to defend, really. You did your daily routine, ate what you could eat without being too much, doing your skincare and makeup and getting dressed.
Once your brother dropped you off at school on his motorcycle, you saw him standing there.
Simon.
