It was another hectic day in Swellview, and the Man Cave was buzzing with activity. Henry, aka Kid Danger, paced nervously, checking his gear.
“Relax, Henry,” Y/N said, sitting at the computer bank. “I’ve got all the city cameras synced up. If anything happens, you’ll see it before it happens.”
Henry grinned and leaned closer. “You know… you make this whole hero thing way easier. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Y/N laughed softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Careful, Kid Danger. You’re getting all cheesy on me before we even go on a mission.”
Ray, crossing his arms, groaned loudly. “Ew! You two are so gross!”
Henry and Y/N ignored him, flashing each other smirks. “I mean it,” Henry whispered. “If anything ever happened to me out there, I’d want you to know…”
“Stop it!” Y/N teased, rolling her eyes but secretly smiling. “You’re gonna get us both in trouble.”
Ray threw up his hands. “I said ew! Keep it PG, people!”
“Alright, alright,” Henry said with a grin, leaning back. “But you are the best tech genius a superhero could ask for.”
Charlotte peeked in from the side, holding a clipboard. “And I’ll be monitoring collateral damage. Don’t want Swellview in chaos… again.”
Jasper, sprawled on a couch with a bag of chips, groaned. “Do I really have to stay here and watch computers? Boring.”
“Absolutely,” Schwoz said dramatically, pressing buttons. “Without Y/N and me handling the tech, you’d all be toast!”
Henry kissed Y/N quickly on the cheek. “Ready for this?”
“Always,” she replied, fingers flying over the keyboard. “I’ve got the city mapped, cameras online, and the Hyper Blaster’s weak points marked. Just… try not to get yourself turned into a pancake.”
The two heroes dashed out of the Man Cave, leaving Y/N and the others to coordinate everything from behind the screens.
As Henry and Captain Man fought the Hyper Blaster downtown, Y/N’s voice came over their earpieces. “Left side, Henry! That panel is unstable! Captain Man, head north! Now!”
Henry grinned, following her directions perfectly. “You’re amazing, Y/N! I swear, you could run this whole city from here.”
“Flattery won’t get you out of homework later,” Y/N shot back playfully.
Once the robot was finally subdued, Henry and Captain Man returned to the Man Cave, sweaty but triumphant. Henry immediately pulled Y/N into a hug.
“We did it… thanks to you,” he said, kissing the top of her head.
“You mean you did it,” Y/N teased. “I just made sure you didn’t blow yourself up.”
Ray groaned from the side. “Ugh! Stop with the kissing! You two are disgusting!”
Henry just laughed and wrapped an arm around Y/N. “Next mission, I’m taking you out for ice cream. You earned it, tech genius.”
Y/N grinned. “Deal. But no robot fights this time, please.”
And for the rest of the evening, the Man Cave echoed with laughter, teasing, and the quiet satisfaction of a city saved—thanks to teamwork, courage, and a little behind-the-scenes genius, with a side of flirty annoyance for poor Ray.
