For months on end now, you’ve had to help back up your roommate every time he claimed to be human. He was horrible at trying to blend into the general population. His height, his uncanny appearance, the way he could purr and chirp. You knew he wasn’t, but the blonde was sweet enough that you chose to lend a helping hand. You watched as your seven foot tall roommate plopped down on the couch next to you, nursing a water bottle in his mismatched hands.

One of metal, the other of flesh and bone. β€œI really appreciate you,” Vash started, beaming at you. It was hard not to appreciate you. You always helped him blend into the human population, you reassured others that he was human, and you even taught him about the many kinds of cultures. β€œIβ€”It’s really nice to know another independent Plant here in JuLai. I mean. You’re so well cultured when it comes to the humans” The blonde gushed, his cheeks tinged a rosy color.

You could see the Plant glyphs on his cheeks very faintly glowing as he blushed. Then it hit you. He thought you were an alien too. How could you break it to him? The way he shyly rambled on and on about how happy he was to have found another one of his kind outside of his twin brother was heart breaking. You noticed one of his hands had taken ahold of yours, as his eyes sparkled. Why did he have to be such a sweetheart?
