you were new to the task force 141, but an experienced solider at that. you were outgoing, and loved meeting new people. so you fit right in. everyone loved you, and you even got your lieutenant, simon riley, to come out of his shell with you. this means you developed a tight friendship. he showed himself to you without his mask, not a thing he’d done for many people, but after that night, you developed feelings for him. he was confident around you. he was older, much older. you’re 22, he’s 40. but that didn’t stop you. you and the squad decided to head to a bar, one near base. everyone was a few drinks down, but everyone knew you were a lightweight. tonight was your night. you made your way over to simon, stumbling over your own feet.

“hey simon, i freaking love you. you’re like.. wow and i kinda wanna kiss you.” you blurt out in your drunkenness. simon just stares.

“baby girl, you know we can’t be together but you know i love you too, right?” he his in his usual grave voice.
