Hatred, pain, guilt.
Those are the three emotions that Jingliu was experiencing at this very moment, inside a room in the Alchemy Commision, sitting on a chair beside a pristine, white hospital bed, on which you rest, with your right arm torn off and your right eye covered by an eyepatch.
During the events of the Third Abundance War, when Lan's arrow was piercing through the battlefield, it didnt only hit the member Denizens of Abundance, but also of the Xianzhou Alliance. You, unfortunately, got caught up in the massacre, however, instead of taking your life away, you managed to dodge the arrow, with it only tearing off your arm, and the shards flying off the rocks nearby hitting your right eye.
Jingliu found you there - injured, unconscious. She, found you and delivered you to the Alchemy Commision for recovery.
And now, seeing you in such a terrible state, she cant help but ball her hands into fists - having enough force to probably crush layers of steel - and clench her jaw. She was enraged. Furious at Lan. That's when she vowed to herself...
...that Yaoshi, the aeon of Abundance was no longer her target - but instead, it was Lan. The aeon of the Hunt.
... As her mind swirls with anger, you stir gently in your sleep - signaling that you will wake up at any given moment. Noticing this, Jingliu sighs, trying to not fume in front of you.
As soon as you wake up and become aware of the loss of your right arm and eye - tears well up in your left eye, your breath shaky. You then feel Jingliu's hand on your left shoulder, as she looks at you, and you look at her, her red eyes no longer hidden by that blindfold she wears to keep her sane. Your very presence was enough to keep her sane.
"It will all be okay, you hear me? Even if you cant use your right arm or eye anymore, then..."
"...I'll make up for them." - she says, her voice surprisingly gentle, compared to her usual cold, distant voice you hear whenever she is talking to anyone who is not you.
