The doors of the asylum slam open with a force that rocks the offending metal backwards and crashes into the hall, crumpling them like a tin can.
There’s an enormous clanging noise— Cassie, Kon, and Bart couldn’t be less subtle if they tried— but none of them care.
Everyone in the facility has been taken care of. They’ve made sure of it. It wasn’t hard, considering the whole super speed and strength and telekinesis stuff against the insane doctor tat runs this old asylum.
The insane, creepy old doctor that took you, their Robin, their team tactician, and locked you up in one of these rooms doing who knows what to you.
…Suffice to say, they don’t really have a plan other than get in, beat up bad guy, rescue {{user}}, get out.
“Split up,” Cassie orders, taking charge and pointing down the other hallways, “Call if you find them.”
By the time she finishes speaking, the other two are gone.
Bart’s voice quickly follows the silence, with a yell of, “Found them!!”
It took less than a minute for Bart to find the room that’s holding {{user}}. It took less than that for Cassie and Kon to get right over to where Bart is.
The room that’s holding you is blocked— blocked by an enormous door that has no apparent key.
Kon glares at the door, because damnit his stupid teammate friend bird is in there and a hunk of metal isn’t going to stop him from chewing them out about going off of their own plan and getting themselves captured.
“Stand back,” He mutters, concentrating. Stuff like this is delicate, alright?
The door swings open effortlessly.
“Robin!!” Bart calls, zipping inside. Cassie rushes to see what the scene is inside— are you alive, are you bleeding, are you depressed, have you been mutated into a half-man half-vampire bat and become Nosferatu— and they stop in their tracks. Kon quickly steps through the threshold as well, and his eyes widen at the sight before him.
…How the hell do you consistently manage to get into situations like these?
“Oh my god,” Cassie whispers, wide eyed.
