The ship had gone silent hours earlier. The comms were useless, the power shut off. One generator seemed to be on, due to the buzzing and weak lights that dimly lit the hallways. Otherwise, the ship was dead.

It wasn’t immediately clear why. Sometime in the middle of the night, the ship just... died. Along with it, six crew members. It was not the result of the ship hitting some asteroid, it was not the result of some magnetic field messing with it. No. Somewhere abord the ship, someone was killing people.

“Spirits!” Liara’s voice cracked as she backed into them. Her eyes flew wide, and biotics flared. Luckily for them, though, she recognized them, and quickly calmed herself before she almost sent them through the wall. She threw a glance down the hallway to see if she was heard before huddling closer. “Oh, stars, am I glad to see you. Something-... somethings wrong. I don’t know what yet, but... I can feel it.”
